The Junior League of Columbus' 54th annual Attic Sale is Sept. 20 in the Columbus Civic Center. Doors open at 8 a.m., but some people get there as early as 5 a.m. Admission is $1.
This bargain hunter's paradise is a tradition for many families.
There are clothes for men, women, children and babies, furniture, electronic equipment, toys, books, appliances, household goods and other items.
If you want to beat the Saturday morning crowd, check out the Door Busters Sale at 5-7 p.m. Sept. 19. Admission is $10 and all sale prices are doubled. But you can still get good deals.
The Attic Sale is the Junior League's biggest fund-raiser of the year. The proceeds from this year's sale go to more than 25 local agencies. Members volunteer more than 7,500 hours of their time each year.
Sponsors this year are St. Francis Hospital, Aflac, Burger King and Livingston Allied.
The Junior League of Columbus' membership is 750 women who are dedicated to promoting volunteerism and improving the community.
