This weekend, Callaway Gardens celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival.
As usual, visitors can see the beautiful hot air balloons, visit with folks who operate the balloons and take part in activities.
But for the first time in 10 years, there is a new event. It's a regatta of radio-controlled boats that will hit Robin Lake on Saturday.
It's the brainchild of 82-year-old Warren Aldrich, a retired businessman, who served on PT Boat 598 during World War II.
Never miss a local story.
During his first retirement 20 years ago, he bought a kit of the replica of that boat. He started putting it together, but since his retirement lasted just 90 days, he put it away when he bought another company.
