It's time for viewers to determine whether "90210" deserves to be a permanent zip code in the TV world.
Tonight, the highly talked-about "Beverly Hills, 90210" spinoff -- simply called "90210" -- debuts at 8 p.m. on the CW network. The original series aired from 1990 to 2000 on Fox.
Executives from the CW have been tight-lipped about tonight's show, refusing to let members of the media watch the episode before it airs. But viewers do know that much like the original, "90210" will focus on siblings who have moved to Beverly Hills from out of state.
Another major element? The return of original cast members Jennie Garth (who played Kelly Taylor) and Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh). Brenda will reportedly be directing a musical at the "90210" high school, where Kelly is a counselor.
Intrigued? For better or worse, reporter Sonya Sorich will watch all of tonight's two-hour premiere. Check her blog, The Walk of Shame, at www.ledger-enquirer.com Wednesday for a candid recap and commentary.
