The Greater Columbus Fair starts Thursday in the Columbus Civic Center parking lot, 400 Fourth St. Instead of a full 10-day fair as in the past, this year, it's broken up into two weekends.
The Value Pass is $20 and is good for unlimited rides and free gate admission for any one day. They are available only at the Civic Center Box Office until 6 p.m. Thursday. The box office will be open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. today and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday.
Regular admission is $7, $3 for seniors and children 9 and younger. On Sunday, if you bring the front page of the Ledger-Enquirer, you can buy one adult ticket and get one adult ticket free.
Wristbands, which allow for unlimited rides, will be available for $22 every night on the midway.

The Fair hours are 6 p.m.-midnight Thursday and Oct. 2; 6 p.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Oct. 3; 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Saturday and Oct. 4 and 2 p.m.-midnight Sunday and Oct. 5.
Taylor Swift will be in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday. Fair organizers recommend that you get to the Civic Center early to find parking. Overflow parking will be available on Jackson Avenue off Victory Drive. There will be shuttles between that parking lot and the Civic Center.
The Exchange Club of Columbus will be selling their famous foot-long hot dogs during Fair hours. On Thursday-Saturday and again on Oct. 2-4, the booth will be open for lunch at 11 a.m.-2 p.m. It will reopen from 6 p.m. until closing every night. Prices are $4 for the foot-long only; $7 for the foot-long, a soft drink and chips; $2 for french fries; $4 for kettle corn. To place orders, call 706-304-1519.
