State schools superintendent Kathy Cox met with teachers and students at Baker Middle School Wednesday afternoon.
Cox visited ate lunch with administrators and community members and visited several classrooms, to observe teachers and students at work.
She presented a letter of recognition to Baker principal Mary Avery, for the school's success in making adequate yearly progress this past year.
