The Phenix City-Russell County library sold more than $2,000 worth of baked goods and used books during their Fall Book and Bake Sale.
The sale, which was sponsored by the Friends of the Library, was held at the library from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4.
The sale took in $623.05 from baked good sales and $1,617 from book sales, for a total of $2,240.05. All of the baked goods and books were donated.
The profits from the sale will be used for needed improvements at the library. The library will hold another sale in the spring.
