For Trace Gallman of Phenix City, seeing Santa wearing a coat of blue with white stars and pants striped in red and white isn't unusual.
It's just the Santa he's always had his picture taken with.
Gallman's mother said she has brought him to Port Columbus since he was nine-months-old to have a Christmas photo taken. Now four, he was joined by his 17-month-old sister Miley Saturday afternoon during the Victorian Christmas celebration at the National Civil War Naval Museum for the yearly tradition.
The museum is decorated for the holidays in mid 19th century Victorian style and is open Dec. 6 & 7 from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. for the event. Admission to the museum is free this weekend.
Never miss a local story.
The Civil War Santa is available for children to visit both days. Professional photos with Santa, taken by Camera 1, are available for a photo fee. There is no charge to visit with Santa.
The museum is located at 1002 Victory Drive in Columbus. Call (706) 327-9798 or visit their website at www.portcolumbus.org for more information.
