The deadline is quickly approaching to get items purchased for children as part of the Holiday Angel Tree Program back to The Salvation Army.
Captain Art Fultz of The Salvation Army said they need the items by December 12 in preparation for distribution on December 19.
The holiday angel tree program provides new clothings or toys for children of needy families. People choose children to shop for by plucking a star from the Angel Tree. Each star has the child's first name, age, gender, clothing size and toy requests.
Seven of the trees this season were located at Peachtree Mall in Columbus.
