A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon in Ladonia after his bike collided with a pick-up truck.
Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry pronounced the man dead at 1:55 p.m. The coroner declined to identify the man Saturday evening because his family had not yet been notified. He was in his 20s.
Phenix City Police Sgt. Jason Whitten said the man was a soldier stationed at Fort Benning. The man was traveling east on Highway 80 when he collided with the truck. No one else was hurt, Whitten said.
Police said they will release more information as the investigation continues.
