The Rev. Lori Lowe, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in LaGrange, Ga., for the past 13 years, has been called as interim rector of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Annapolis, Md.
She made the the announcement Sunday.
Her last Sunday is Feb. 1.
Prior to St. Mark's, Lowe served as interim rector at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Columbus.
Lowe signed a one-year contract with the Annapolis church, then will take it month-to-month if a permanent replacement has not been found.
She is married to the Rev. Bill McLemore, a retired Episcopal priest whose last full-time assignment was rector of St. Stephen's in Smiths, Ala.
Lowe said Monday that while she feels called to the Annapolis job, she has "great sadness in leaving LaGrange because I spent such a significant part of my ministry there."
The Rev. Rick Callaway, who serves on the bishop's staff at the Diocese of Atlanta, will preach and celebrate Eucharist on Feb. 8. As of Lowe's departure, St. Mark's will form a committee to search for an interim rector.
