Hikers and other travelers going to or through Pine Mountain's Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park should remember it's closed today and Wednesday for a deer hunt, so no facilities will be open to the general public.
The trails and parking areas are off-limits to all but the selected 155 hunters and the authorities monitoring them.
Georgia Highways 190 and 354 through the park will be open to traffic, but drivers passing through are not to stop in the park.
The park these two days will allow only hunters to use its cabins, trails and camp sites. After the hunt ends Wednesday, visitors are asked to report anyone seen hunting or setting up deer stands in on park property.
