The annual Columbus Cottonmouths Tip-a-Snake dinner and auction is March 3 in the Columbus Civic Center, 400 Fourth St.
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and the silent auction.
The dinner will be on the floor of the Civic Center. Half of the floor will be covered to place tables and chairs. The other half of the floor will be open, so Columbus Cottonmouths players can skate out, wearing their tuxedos to begin their annual stint as waiters.
On March 3, game worn jerseys will be auctioned off, along with T-shirts decorated by sick children, who will place their hand prints (with a Snakes player) on the shirts. This year's theme is "Hand in Hand, we can make miracles happen together."
Never miss a local story.
The Cottonmouths, TIC Federal Credit Union and Children's Miracle Network have raised more than $20,000 every year with this event.
The players will be wearing special CMN jerseys Feb. 12-13 home games. They will be auctioned immediately after the game on Feb. 13.
Proceeds go to the CMN at The Medical Center.
Tickets for Tip-a-Snake are $50; $300 for a table for eight.
