The RiverCenter for the Performing Arts is offering $10 Student Rush tickets for the rest of the 2008-09 season shows.
"During these economic times we’re trying to remind everyone of the value-priced tickets that we have at RiverCenter, because these are actually very good prices," said RiverCenter director of communications Darlene Kittrell. "We introduced Value View Seating last summer in our brochure. These are $10 tickets in the upper balcony for numerous performances like R.K. Brown, Matt Dusk, Mingus Big Band and 'Don Quixote.' Students have a great advantage with Student Rush pricing as these tickets, which are purchased one hour before show time, are for any seats remaining in the theater.
"Also, just as like the Springer Opera House, our senior and military discount includes all public safety employees. All they have to do is present identification, so their tickets must be purchased at the box office. This is a $3 discount."
The box office is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.
