Muscogee and other counties from central to north Georgia are under a wind advisory today as a line of severe thunderstorms sweeps through the northern part of the state.
The National Weather Service is warning that 20-30 mph south winds will increase in speed, with gusts of at least 35 mph, which cause hazardous driving for motorists in tall vehicles.
The wind advisory is in effect from 7 a.m. until midnight.
After the storm front passes today, the weather Thursday is expected to be nice enough to make an office worker want to play hooky and go for a hike. The high is to be about 70 degrees under sunny skies.
