A man shot in the chest early Sunday at a party house was sent to the hospital in critical condition.
The 24-year-old was at the home of Bolivar Glenn at 5205 Buena Vista Road around 4 a.m. when he was hit, said Columbus Police Lt. Steve Cox.
“There was an altercation,” Cox said. “He was shot in the chest with a large-caliber handgun.”
A private vehicle took the gunshot victim to St. Francis Hospital. Cox said the man underwent surgery.
Never miss a local story.
“I know he’s been in surgery all day long,” he added.
The man was at a party house — a residence turned into a club, Cox said. Several police units were called to the scene after officers learned of the shooting, and Glenn was arrested on a charge of maintaining a disorderly home, Cox said.
“When you charge for people to enter, it’s illegal,” the lieutenant added.
No other arrests were made, and the case is under investigation.
