Columbus police have issued warrants for the man they believe responsible for a Sunday shooting at a suspected party house.
Isaac Brandon Jones, 22, is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, Lt. Lynn Joiner said. Jones is wanted in connection with the 4:15 a.m. shooting of a 24-year-old man at Bolivar Glenn’s home at 5205 Buena Vista Road.
The shooting victim was struck once in the chest and taken by a private vehicle to St. Francis Hospital, Joiner said.
Police believe the man who was shot had gotten into an altercation at the home, which Joiner described as an after-hours club. People had to pay a fee to enter and alcohol was sold. There were some 50 to 70 people at the home when the shooting happened.
Glenn was charged with maintaining a disorderly house. No other person was charged that night.
Jones is described as a black man standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 180 pounds. His last known address was on Lansing Avenue and he sometimes stays in Oakland park.
Anyone with information about the shooting should contact police at 706-653-3400.
