The National Weather Service is saying the low tonight will be 29 degrees, a big drop from the warm winter evening Wednesday when storms moved through the area.
The forecast tonight is for clear skies with northwest winds between 5 and 15 mph, gusting up to 20 mph.
Here's long-range forecast for Columbus, according to the weather service office in Peachtree City:
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 54. Northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 63. Calm wind becoming south between 10 and 15 mph. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 1 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. South wind around 5 mph becoming northwest.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 53.
Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57.
Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 33.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 61.
Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 39.
