The traffic light that keeps track of time for speakers at Columbus Council is on the blink.
Deputy Clerk of Council Sandra Davis noticed the light wasn't working properly at the beginning of the public agenda Tuesday evening. "We hope to get it checked out," she said today.
The light goes from green, to yellow and flashes red on a timer when a speaker has been up for five minutes. Davis said the light should be ready for the next council meeting on March 10.
To keep the council meeting moving, the light was installed last summer to help speakers stay on track. Some visitors have called it rude and crude.
