Three more singers will advance to the Top 12 on tonight's episode of "American Idol," which airs 8 p.m. on Fox.
Wednesday, 12 semifinalists performed in a night dominated by poor song choices. Contestants like Jasmine Murray and Matt Giraud, who earned front-runner status during the audition phase, moved to the bottom of the pack when they chose songs failing to highlight their vocals.
Perhaps the show's biggest standout was teen singer Allison Iraheta, former winner of a Telemundo singing competition.
And, of course, the night had two "love it or hate it" moments, thanks to Adam Lambert's theatrics and Nick Mitchell's comedic alter ego, Norman Gentle.
Never miss a local story.
As usual, reporter Sonya Sorich will blog tonight's show "live." Visit the Ledger's "American Idol" blog now for a full recap of Tuesday's performances.
