The Disabled American Veterans Center in Columbus will on March 9 present to Mike Dover, the president of the Georgia Center for Veterans Rehabilitation, Employment/Education and Training, a check for $5,000.
The money will help the GCVRET efforts to hold a veterans in need Stand Down at Columbus State University on April 25.
The Stand Down is designed to focus attention on the many issues that face homeless veterans and other veterans in need.
The presentation will be at 12:30 p.m. on March 9.
