Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntyre and Jorge Nunez advanced to the "American Idol" Top 12 Wednesday night.
The results hardly came as a surprise, since judges heavily praised all three singers during the performance show.
Scott MacIntyre, a blind piano player, and Puerto Rican crooner Jorge Nunez both offered emotion-driven ballads. Judge Simon Cowell called powerhouse belter Lil Rounds "brilliant."
Judges also announced the eight wild card contenders: Megan Corkrey, Jasmine Murray, Ricky Braddy, Jesse Langseth, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Von Smith and Tatiana Del Toro.
Never miss a local story.
The singers will compete for the remaining three spots in the Top 12 Thursday at 8 p.m.
