If you have old paint, household cleaning products, lawn care chemicals or old computers, now is the time to recycle them.
A hazardous waste and electronic equipment recycling project will be held from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday at 25 22nd Ave. in Columbus. The recycling center is located directly across from Dolly Madison on Victory Drive.
The free event is sponsored by the Keep Columbus Beautiful Commission and anyone who lives in Muscogee County is eligible to bring items for recycling.
Two companies have been contracted to dispose of the items. Clean Harbors Environmental Service will collect hazardous household waste and Plan B Solution will take electronic equipment. No TVs will be accepted.
Never miss a local story.
