A ceramics exhibit, "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants." opens Tuesday and runs through April 18 in the Corn Center for Visual Arts' Illges Gallery, 6 W. 10th St., in downtown Columbus.
Columbus State’s Department of Art hosts the exhibit, which reflects the mentors that have shaped curator and CSU ceramics professor Matthew Isaacson’s philosophies, ideologies and interests.
Participating artists, representing various parts of the United States, are Val Cushing, Chris Gustin, Wayne Higby, John Jessiman, Ji-Wan Joo, Karen Karnes, Jackson Li, Brad Schwieger, Don Reitz, Allan Rosenbaum, Chris Staley, Lydia Thompson and Peter Voulkos.
The closing reception is 6-7 p.m. April 17 in the gallery.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday.
Parking is available in the RiverCenter parking garage on Broadway, allowing visitors to enter the Corn Center’s Front Street entrance.
