Congressman Sanford D. Bishop Jr. will host a "Stimulus 101" session for constituents 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Columbus' National Infantry Museum, 3800 S. Lumpkin Road.
The meeting is to "provide attendees with detailed information about the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and how it can be utilized to jump-start Georgia’s economy."
Both state and federal government officials will discuss the legislation and answer questions.
Each session will offer an overview of the stimulus bill presented by Aranthan “AJ” Jones, former director of policy and research for the office of the U.S. House of Representatives majority whip. “Breakout sessions” with government officials then will facilitate one-on-one interaction. The sessions are free and open to the public. Anyone whow has questions or concerns about the stimulus bill, or wants to know how to use it, is encouraged to attend.
