Dueling pianist Matt Giraud was the lowest vote-getter on "American Idol" this week, but the judges used their one-time save to keep him around another week.
This means no singer went home Wednesday, but two will be eliminated next week. The judges had to use their save either this week or next week.
Giraud was joined in the bottom three by Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai, the second- and third-lowest vote-getters, respectively. After learning he had the lowest number of votes, Giraud sang "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman," the song he performed Tuesday.
Then, the judges hesitated, and Simon Cowell cautioned, "I don't see that you have really any chance at winning the competition." Then, the good news: Giraud got another week to prove himself.
Next week, the seven finalists perform disco songs. Two will go home.
