Coming to Auburn, Alabama for the Sticks Country Music Festival was a step in the right direction for singers Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough.
The "Dancing with the Stars" celebrity singer and his professional dance partner both performed Saturday at the festival. Monday the real-life couple danced the samba together on the show and received their best score this season.
The couple earned nines from all three judges for a total score of 27. That score will be tallied with viewers' votes after Monday's show.
"I like it a lot. It was by far your best dance to date." Len Goodman said.
"You were working that butt and those hips like I've never seen before," Bruno Tonioli said.
Carrie Ann Inaba jumped out of her seat and leaned over the judges' desk to give Chuck double high fives.
What inspired them this week? Chuck and Julianne gave a shout out to their country music fans who came to see them sing at the festival.
"Alabama is going to save us from elimination," Chuck said.
Before the pair took the stage to dance, scenes from Sticks were shown. Chuck was posing with fans and signing autographs while encouraging folks to vote for him and Julianne.
Will Alabama help the couple stay in the competition? Find out Tuesday during the 9 p.m. results show on ABC.
