An extensive renovation of Columbus' 4701 Buena Vista Road Walmart will be done by the time summer comes, store representatives said.
The store is being remodeled inside and out, with new shelving, signs and floors. It also will have an updated layout plan aligning the items customers buy most often.
The business' redesign is to give it a more open look with wider aisles, lower shelving, brighter interior paint and lighting, and signs that are easier to read.
The store will remain open during the renovations, with most of the construction and moving taking place overnight. It is hiring about 20 temporary workers to help with the remodeling.
Never miss a local story.
The remodeling began April 5 and should be finished June 17, Walmart said.
