On the eve of the beginning of the 26th Annual David E. Grange Best Ranger Competition Fort Benning's Ranger Training Brigade will recognize 14 people as Distinguished Members of the Brigade.
The ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Ranger Training Brigade headquarters on Harmony Church.
This year's recipients are:
Sgt. Maj. Al Brashier, Col. Clarence K.K. Chinn, Command Sgt. Maj. Rafael Colondres, Command Sgt. Maj. Samuel Coston, Command Sgt. Maj. Gail Ernst, Gail Goodwin, Capt. George James, Col. Mark Johnstone, Command Sgt. Maj. Julian Kellman, 1st Sgt. Chris Kibler, 1st Sgt. Tony Nunley, Maj. Gen. Will Tankersley, Robert Wages and honorary inductee Al Zimmerman.
Selected from individuals formerly assigned to the Ranger Training Command, Ranger Department or Ranger Training Brigade, these men are being recognized for their contributions to the promotion of ranger training and have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity, moral character and professional competence, according to a press release.
