The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for Muscogee, Harris, Chattahoochee and surrounding counties in north and central Georgia.
What this means is that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring or are expected to occur within 36 hours. The warning is in effect from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Refer to the local burn permitting authorities on whether you may burn outdoors. If you do burn outdoors use extreme caution.
Today expect mostly sunny skies, with highs in the lower 70s. Northeast winds will blow between 10 and 20 mph.
Expect mostly cloud skies Wednesday with a 20 percent chance of showers. It'll be windy and highs will be in the upper 70s.
There's a 30 percent chance of showers Wednesday night with a low around 60 degrees.
