The Aflac Vacation Reading program begins 10 a.m.-1 p.m. May 30 in the Columbus Public Library, 3000 Macon Road.
The kick-off includes games, inflatable slides and painting.
But if you miss the May 30 kick-off, you can sign up at any library in Columbus.
As you start the program, write down the title of the books you read and how long it took you to finish the book. You'll be given a reading log.
When you read 10 books or have read for 10 hours, bring your sheet to the library and you may choose a prize and enter the drawing for the grand prize.
Every time you finish reading another 10 books or read 10 hours, you may enter another chance for the big prize.
Everyone who completes the program will receive a certificate of completion and may attend the end of the summer party at your library branch.
The grand prize has yet to be announced.
All completed logs must be submitted by July 18.
