Two gunmen fired shots at two Columbus brothers early Friday, police said.
The victims told police they were sitting on the porch of their Ada Avenue home around 1:50 a.m. That’s when two men got up from the porch of an abandoned house across the street and started shooting at them, they said.
The brothers, ages 18 and 21, were not injured and the two shooters fled.
Police officers found seven gun shell casings at the scene, but no damage to the house or property.
The older brother told police he believed the men were looking for him because they suspected he had been at the home of one of the gunmen’s girlfriend. He identified the street names of the two as “Murder” and “Bug.”
Both suspects are described as black with dreadlocks, between 5 feet 10 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall and thin, about 150 pounds. They are known to drive a white Nissan Maxima or Altima with a missing hubcap on the rear driver’s side.
