The start of the Columbus-Carrollton baseball series has been postponed by rain and lightning. The doubleheader in the best-of-three series has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday.
It is scheduled to be played at Randy Jordan Field, Columbus’ home park, but with the heavy amounts of rain the field has taken in the past few days, it could be moved.
If it is moved, it would be played at either Columbus State’s Ragsdale Field or Golden Park. That decision would not be made until Tuesday morning.
Game 1 Monday was scheduled to start at 2 p.m., but two lightning delays and heavy rain finally forced officials to postpone the game about 4 p.m.
