Internet rumors say "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert could join legendary rock act Queen, and one of the band's members maintains the collaboration isn't out of the question.
But would a spot as Queen's new frontman be the best career move for Lambert?
Fans have long pointed to similarities between Lambert and former Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury. On last week's "Idol" finale, Lambert performed with the band, known for songs like "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions."
Queen guitarist Brian May has since responded to rumors that Lambert might work with the band. He told Rolling Stone magazine: "(Drummer Roger Taylor) and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there."
