Three Muscogee County School District teachers have earned Master Teacher certification in Georgia.
Donnie Ingram, a science teacher at Blackmon Road Middle, Melissa Wilks, a drama teacher at Wynnton Arts Academy and former Muscogee County Teacher of the Year, and Susan Wilson, a math teacher at Blackmon Road Middle, were three of 112 Master Teachers across the state named by Gov. Sonny Perdue.
Georgia’s Master Teacher Certification program provides statewide recognition to certified public school teachers who have at least three years of teaching experience and consistently demonstrate instructional excellence through student achievement.
Master Teachers are eligible to renew their teaching certificates automatically, as long as they continue to qualify for Master Teacher status.
