The Edwin McCain Band is the headline for the Fort Benning Fourth of July celebration. The Independence Day extravaganza will be early this year at Stewart-Watson Field onf June 27.
Food and drink sale concessions, as well as more than 20 inflatables for jumping and sliding, will be available beginning at 3 p.m. There is no charge for use of the inflatables.
Entertainment starts at 5:45 p.m. with David ryan Harris, followed by the country band Carter's Trio at 7:30 p.m. McCain will take the stage at 8:45-10 p.m.
Besides the music, there will be a demonstration jump by the command exhibition parachute team, the Silver Wings at 5:30 p.m. and a Ranger demonstration from 7-7:15 p.m., followed by a Sky Soldiers aerial demonstration from 7:15-7:30 p.m. The Sky Soldiers demonstration team features authentic Vietnam era aircraft that have been fully restored and are manned by veteran pilots and crew chiefs.

Fireworks will start after McCain leaves the stage.
Admission and parking are free.
Pets are not allowed.
In case of rain, the fireworks only will be around 10 p.m. on June 28.
Stewart-Watson Field is behind Smith Fitness Center near Dixie Road. Everyone without a post car tag must get a temporary sticker at one of the gates, so allow some extra time. Take I-185 South to where it ends. Make a right turn and follow Dixie Road to Stewart-Watson Field.
