A Columbus cab driver was robbed of his van by an armed passenger early today.
The 49-year-old was not injured in the hold-up, which occurred between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m.
Officers were called to the 3800 block of St. Mary's Road, where the Yellow Cab employee told police that a passenger had taken his 2008 Kia Sedona van at the intersection of Hawaii Way and California Way.
The man put a .25-caliber revolver to the cabbie's head to take his money and the yellow van, police said in a report.
Police broadcast a description of the suspect when they met with the cab driver, but found no one.
The van's license plate number if BEY6096. It is registered in Georgia.
The gunman is described as black, 20 to 25 years old, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He wore blue jeans and a blue polo shirt with red and white stripes.
