Paris Torres and Tony Bellissimo didn't impress fans or judges with their hip-hop routine on "So You Think You Can Dance." Thursday, they were the first couple sent home on the reality TV dance competition.
The competition is now down to 18 dancers, nine teams of two.
Wednesday, Paris and Tony danced to “Let the Beat Rock” and got lukewarm reviews. Judges said the routine was just average and lacked personality.
Joining the duo in Thursday's bottom three couples were Karla Garcia and Jonathan Platero, as well as Asuka Kondoh and Vitolio Jeune.
Each of the dancers up for elimination performed a solo, and the judges then announced their decision. Karla was quickly announced as safe, making Asuka and Paris the bottom two women.
Judge Nigel Lythgoe was critical of all the men in the bottom three, saying none of them danced well enough to stay in the competition long. Vitolio was announced as safe, and Tony and Jonathan were in the bottom two.
The dancers perform again next Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
