The Muscogee County School Board will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the board room of the old Bradley Library on Bradley Drive.
During the meeting, the board will vote on the general fund budget for the 2010 fiscal year. The budget totals $274 million and includes cutting about 75 positions through attrition.
The board will also vote on three assistant principal appointments.
Tammy Anderson, a school improvement specialist at Baker Middle School, has been recommended for the assistant principalship at Rothschild Middle School.
Michele Grier, a counselor at Columbus High, and Rafael Simmons, an assistant principal at Harris County High, have been recommended for the two open assistant principal positions at Columbus High.
Board meetings are open to the public.
