Three Muscogee County School District teachers have earned certification to become “Master Teachers” in Georgia.
Donnie Ingram, a science teacher at Blackmon Road Middle, Melissa Walker Wilks, a drama teacher at Wynnton Arts Academy and Susan Wilson, a math teacher at Blackmon Road Middle, were among the 112 new teachers who were named master teachers by Gov. Sonny Perdue.
Georgia’s Master Teacher Certification Program provides statewide recognition to certified public school teachers in Georgia who have at least three years of teaching experience and consistently demonstrate instructional excellence through student achievement.
Master Teachers are eligible to renew their teaching certificates automatically, as long as they continue to qualify for Master Teacher status.
