The Judicial Citizen's Panel Review Board is seeking volunteers from the community who are interested in the welfare of foster children.
Selected applicants will receive 15 hours of training and will be expected to serve the court for half a day per month with a minimum of a one-year commitment.
Volunteers meet once a month to review cases of children placed in foster care by the court. The panel reviews the progress of the parent or custodian to see if they are meeting the established goals set by the court as well as monitors the work of the Department of Family and Children Services and other agencies involved in the case to make sure all necessary services are being provided to the family. the Panel then makes recommendations to the judge.
