Today's 2 p.m. "fireworks education and safety demonstration" led by Georgia Insurance Commissioner John W. Oxendine and Columbus Fire Chief Jeff Meyer has been moved to a new location.
It was to be held at the city's Public Safety Center, 510 10th St. It now will be held at the Columbus fire station, 205 10th St.
Oxendine and Meyer are to demonstrate "the proper use of legal Georgia sparklers," according to a press release.
