Friends of Roosevelt's Little White House is holding a photography contest. Photographs are needed for a photo exhibit at the Little White House in Warm Springs.
Amateur, as well as professional photographers, may enter the contest.
According to chapter president Bob Prater, "All photographs exhibited must be taken on the grounds of Roosevelt's Little White House State Historic Site or at the Historic Pools and Springs," said chapter president Bob Prater. "The contest will run from July 1 through Oct. 1. A grand prize of $100 will be awarded. The grand prize winner will have their photograph displayed at the site for one year from the end of the exhibit. There will be two $25 prizes for the second and third place winners. Flash photography is prohibited in the buildings."
The public can participate in judging the exhibit. Photographs will be on display in the museum as soon as they are received. All photographs must be received by Sept. 19 for judging purposes. Contestants may enter as many photographs as they wish.
"The sooner a photograph is entered, the longer it will be on display for judging," Prater said.
Photographs must be printed in 8-by-10-inch format with the photographer’s name, full address with zip code and complete phone number clearly printed on the back. There is a required $5 entry per photograph. Checks or money orders must be made payable to Friends of Roosevelt's Little White House.
Entries should be mailed to Friends of Roosevelt's Little White House, "Photography Contest," 401 Little White House Road, Warm Springs, GA 31830.
All submissions will become property of Friends of Roosevelt’s Little White House and will not be returned. The site is open 9 a.m.-4:45 p.m. daily.
