On July 4, visitors can enjoy barbecue, blue grass music, sack races and watermelon contests, both eating and seed spitting, at Westville in Lumpkin, Ga.
Westville is an outdoor history museum that lets visitors step back in the 1850s. It sits on more than 80 acres and features more than 30 historic structures.
There are crafts demonstrations for visitors who can also enjoy a ride on the mule wagon.
