A man accused of shooting another man in the face last Wednesday has turned himself in to Columbus police.
Reginald Vaughn Roberts of Columbus turned himself in for an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault at 11 p.m. on July 1.
Roberts in accused of shooting Jeffrey Newsome in the face at around 4 a.m. on June 24. Newsome suffered non-life threatening injuries and remains in the hospital.
Roberts, 31, was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He received a hearing in Recorder's Court at 8 a.m. this morning.
