Friday is Celebrity Day at area McDonald's restaurants. The annual McDonald's Round-Up Campaign, where people are encouraged to leave their change from their orders for the Ronald McDonald House of Columbus, is noon-1 p.m. It typically raises $15,000-$16,000 every year.
Among the local "celebrities" are Ledger-Enquirer columnist Chris Johnson and L-E arts writer Sandra Okamoto at the downtown location; disc jockey Damon Free of WCGQ-FM and WTVM 9's Jason Dennis at the Macon Road location; Vickie James of WFXE-FM at the Buena Vista Road location and disc jockey Bear O'Brian of WKCN-FM and glaucoma surgical specialist Bret Crumpton at the Airport Thruway location.
For more information, call Susan Yaksh, associate director of the Ronald McDonald House, at 706-321-0033, ext. 103.
