The Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce will host the 2009 Business and Healthcare Expo Aug. 13.
The expo will give business owners the chance to network and expose their products and services, officials said.
"In today's economy, creating more business opportunities are a necessity," Mike Gaymon, chamber president and chief executive officer, said in a statement. "In a nutshell, this year's Expo theme could be 'Let's Do Business.'"
The event will be held in the south hall of the Columbus Convention and Trade Center, 801 Front Avenue, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. This year's theme is "Chamber Land." Space will be divided up into different sections: Techsville, Motor City, Tiny Town, Safari Village, BRAC to the Future and Tumbleweed Crossing.
The expo began more than 10 years ago as a technology fair. After low attendance numbers, the chamber decided to open up the event to other businesses.
Tickets are $4. For more information, visit www.columbusgachamber.com/expo09 or call 706-596-7005.
