ARAMARK, the food services provider for Columbus State University, has plans to hire 25 workers.
The company will hold a job fair next month to fill full-time and part-time positions for two of CSU’s campus eateries, Einstein Bros. Bagels and Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, as well as for its residential restaurant, catering department and downtown Columbus market.
The job fair dates are as follows:
Brett Muller, food service director at CSU, said the need for workers stems in part from CSU’s new requirement for incoming freshman to live in campus housing for their first year. With more students on campus, the need for dining services is expected to increase, he said. CSU dining will become a 7-day operation starting in the fall — as opposed to five days — and its downtown market will expand hours and menu offerings for students.
Pay will range from $7.25 to $12. ARAMARK is looking for food service workers, shift supervisors and a food production manager. Most will be full-time positions.
Applicants are asked to bring resumes to the job fair. Company representatives will conduct on-site interviews both days.
Hired workers should expect to begin work by Aug. 15.
