A Columbus man was shot three times after two men tried to invade his home early Saturday.
The 29-year-old victim is at The Medical Center undergoing treatment and his injuries appear to not be life-threatening, Columbus Police Sgt. Frank Massa said Saturday.
Police said the victim was at his Fifth Avenue home around 2 a.m. when he heard a knock on the door. When he opened it, there were two men armed with guns.
“There was a struggle and shots were fired,” Massa said.
The victim was hit twice in the shoulder and once in the wrist. The intruders then left on foot. Massa said it was uncertain whether the two got away with any of the victim’s belongings.
Officers have been provided little description of the gunmen so far.
