A Columbus man who was in a wreck on Tuesday died Saturday night at The Medical Center, authorities said.
Marvin C. Norrell, 78, was pronounced dead at 10:51 p.m., said Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley.
Norrell and the 68-year-old man with whom he collided at 50th Street and Veterans Parkway were taken to the hospital, reports state.
The other driver was in a 2008 Ford Ranger going east on 50th around 2:30 p.m. when he tried to cross Veterans Parkway, police said. He didn’t yield the right of way and pulled forward.
That’s when Norrell, going south on Veterans in a 1998 Ford 150, collided with the Ranger on its driver’s side, reports state.
Reports state that citations were pending against the Ford Ranger’s driver.
