Concerned that thousands of men are unable to secure employment because they lack the initial, yet vital step of looking appropriately dressed for a job interview, Open Door Community House and Men's Wearhouse are working together to collect thousands of articles of appropriate interview attire as part of a national suit drive in September.
The kickoff for the drive will be August 31 at noon at the Men's Wearhouse Store at Columbus Park Crossing with Columbus Mayor Jim Wetherington will make the first donation.
"We are excited to work with Men's Wearhouse on the national suit drive campaign," Open Door Executive Director Kim Jenkins said in a recent press release. "Clean and appropriate professional attire really makes a difference in the lives of those we serve. With these donations, men will have the opportunity to walk into an interview with confidence , an essential first step toward economic stability."
